Get inspired. We all need some inspiration when it comes to relaxation. Let’s face it – most of us have far too much on our to-do lists. Here are some of my favorite products that help me to unwind. I hope they do the same for you. Give yourself a break! You deserve it!!!
Tap into your senses. I’m sure you already know your sense of smell and memories are closely connected. If they’re good memories, great, but some of them can leave you clinging onto the past. Your sense of smell also has the power to bring you into the present moment – if you allow it. Deeply inhaling a relaxing scent such as lavender and/or vanilla will help you to relax and bring you into the now. Another powerful sense is sound. Let your favorite tranquil music take you away to your sanctuary. I LOVE Tim McCauley’s Music of Namaste ($9.99)!
Soak away your stress. I can’t get enough of EO French Lavender Bubble Bath ($9.99) mixed with Savon et Cie Vanilla Bath Salts ($19.07 for 2 Pack).
Dim the lights. Enhance your experience using Yankee Candle Lavender Vanilla votives (1.99). Freeze them for several hours prior to use to make them last longer. Another of my favorite scents is Coconut Bay (we used them as centerpieces at my wedding – good memories
). This scent reminds me of a tropical paradise vacation. Ahhhh…..
Lingering scent-sations! After you finally pull your pruney self out of the tub, you don’t have to leave the scent in the bathroom. Lather on some calming lotion. Try Aveeno Stress Relief Lotion ($8.49) or Curel Natural Healing Lotion ($8.99). Don’t have time for a bath? You would be surprised how much more relaxed you feel after just applying the lotion. Sniff it often, and allow it to help you drift off to sleep or to your favorite place of relaxation…

Ahhh memories is right. Every time I smell those Coconut Bay candles I think of your wedding. I wish I could relive that weekend over and over again
