Let your hair be a disappointment no more! Just add some of these quick tips to your current routine. Go ahead, give your hair some love!
Regular trims keep the split ends away. Experts recommend every 6-8 weeks.
Embrace your shorter self. Don’t be afraid to go shorter! It took me years to give up my long hair…Looking back at my stringy strands, I can’t believe I waited! My hair is finally healthier and thicker.
Easy on the color. Give your hair a break by coloring every other time at the salon. Demi color is a better option for fragile hair that is is low in peroxide.
Moisturize. Deep condition 1-2 times per week. I like Nioxin Weightless Reconstructive Masque or Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor.
Clarify. Use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to remove styling buildup. Try Joico K-Pak Chelating Shampoo for non-colored hair. For colored hair, use Nioxin Cleanser each time you shampoo (massage shampoo into scalp for at least one minute).
Protect. Leave in conditioner acts as a primer for hair. Apply it before styling products. Try these weightless options: Nioxin Bliss Thermal Protector or Giovanni Direct Leave In Conditioner. Use a boar brush when styling. I like Cricket Fini Boar Brush Small ; you can also try Conair Mega Ceramic Round Boar Bristle Hair Brush – Medium. Apply heat protecting spray or serum before drying or using a flat iron. I like Chi Iron Guard or Chi Silk Infusion .

About the Author

You can call me Tranquil Beauty. After spending a good portion of my life being disillusioned by my mind, I’m finally on a path led by my true self. I'm here because I've been blessed by the wisdom of so many others who powerfully emulate what it means to live guided by their own purpose. I'm profoundly grateful to share the knowledge I’ve gained after being enlightened by Neale Donald Walsch, Rick Warren, Eckhart Tolle, and Shakti Gawain (to name only a few). I feel this wisdom has permeated my being and shifted my focus from the past and the limitations of my mind to a state of pure consciousness that seeks to honor my true self. I've been a personal development fanatic since 1999. Some books that have influenced the website include Friendship with God, The Purpose Driven Life, The Power of Now, A New Earth, and Creative Visualization.
My passion for beauty started at a very young age. Though primarily driven by personal struggles with fine curly hair and combination skin, my beauty expertise grew over the years from devouring numerous beauty publications and trying mounds of products. After wasting piles of money testing top of the line products, I've learned that expensive beauty products aren’t necessarily better products.
Making a commitment to realize your beauty inside and out is a choice each and every moment. I believe strongly that we all have an innate power to create fulfilling lives. I vow to accept nothing less for those who wish to join me on that journey!
Kudos for posting such a useful blog. Your blog isn’t only informative but also extremely artistic too. There normally are few people who can write not so simple articles that creatively. Keep up the good writing!!
I find myself coming to your blog more and more often to the point where my visits are almost daily now!
